Storm lurking.....

Last night, the whole country was shocked and in a state of despair and gloom. The cause? Announcement by the government to raise petrol price to RM2.70 per litre (from the RM1.95 per litre), and diesel price was up RM1 more. I shudder to think of the ripple effect to our survival in general. Yesterday's news trying to cushion the impact, saying about the current inflation rate of 2%-3%, and it is forecasted to jump to 4%-5% by year end. And the Central Bank insisting that the GDP is still expected at 5%-6% !!!!!!! What loads of craps!!!!
There is no denying that the current oil price escalation is a world wide phenomenon, and the whole world are facing similar situation. But, why or why there seems to be no concrete measure by our leaders to assure the people that all is not bleak in the horizon. Our media are flooded by bad news every single day, and where are all our representatives in the parliaments? Why do they take delight in dominating the front page with their "holier than thou" action during the good times, but come to this real life crisis, all are quiet?
Will there be bright flowery shiny breezy day in the horizon for us mere mortals?
