A consultant just came back from holiday in an African country, and he brought along a ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS note. Yupp, it is a legal tender in a country where the inflation rate is in thousands. Malaysia current inflation rate is in the region of 4%-6% (depending on which newspaper/source one is reading). How am I going to explain to my Economic students the existence of skyrocketed inflation rate.
The above note however has an expiry date. "m not sure what is the amount in terms of dollars tho'.
