Garden of NOT Eden

'M on leave for 1 week. Much needed de-stressing moment. Took time to tender little balcony garden. To date the list of edible plants are Lime, Pucuk Manis (cukup-cukup bikin tambah di maggie), Long beans, Tomatoes.

Fantasy

Sometimes ago, Anies awarded me with this Goldcard. 'M going to fantasize tht I truly have the card that has other material function as well....My goldcard will have the following "sifat-sifat':

1) No need to pay back amount charged to the card (ini barulah impian tahap maksima);

2) Must spend it on home only (need to put this restrictions,coz i'll go rampant in my imagination, menangis karang this blog being penuhi dengan pelbagai gambar2 materialistik).

Taadaaaaa, my goldcard will enable me to have all these (pic. below). I will even dye my hair blonde supaya ngam dgn model hehehehehehe. Oops on second thought, nope, blonde does not suit me, instead 'm going to have a sexy long brown color curly hair. Will employ the best builder to build a small cottage, with timber board flooring, french windows, windowsill garden herbs, and shabby chic english decor. Even the gelas2 dan tikuan yg bini2 org putih ni pegang pun i akan beli. But the cupboard, mungkin i'll kasi terang sikit cat putihnya la, nanti my mom hairan kenapa lemari dapur i buruk! (tak kan mau di explain to my mom that shabbychic is "in" hehehheehehe).

The gangansing and all the fabric akan ku beli juga. Basically everything (all fixtures and fittings) will be purchased hehehehehhee.

Never Full Bag

This is fun. Tagged by Sharon, on contents of handbag.

Biasa-biasa je contents of my handbag, nothing illegal inside. Things to occupy myself while waiting je. Nowadays it seems like, I do a lot of waiting...queuing, picking up people at airport, waiting for people. Therefore, 70% of things in handbag to ensure I don't go crazy doing nothing while waiting.

1) Nigella Lawson cookery book, a gift from Fabmom. Love this book coz of the amazing food pictures, and to be amazed by Nigella's pretty face. Lawa banar ini perempuan.

2) Bella Tuscany-Sweet Life in Italy, a sequel book of Under the Tuscan Sun. It chronicles the journey of a lady buying an old house in Tuscany, restoring the house to its splendour, nurturing the dilapidated garden, and embracing the Italian food, wine and life in general....This book will transport me to Tuscan...a temporary escape and give much needed rest amidst the not so "Tuscan Life in KK".

3) Agatha Christie Book - My favorite of all 3.

4) Wallet, Sunglasses - ini biasa ja.

5) Socks (the stripe rainbow colorful ones) - Need to ensure socks is ready for the sometimes too cold aircond at the office or at church.

6) Caffox (aluminium strip) - for migraine. A MUST.

7) Dragon Fruit (the pink roundish one) - 'm into dragon fruits eating nowadays. Supposedly help to cleanse the liver. Tapi seriously, bikin senang mau berak if makan ni buah.

8) Carrot - entah kenapa this termasuk dlm beg. But this is essential for munching and good for health (hehehehehehe).

9) Pink flower Kantung - To put handphone and keys. Made from fleamarket fabric.

The Attack of the White Paint

Workwise, the cloud of negativity is rearing it's ugly head again. Circumstances have been a little overwhelming, but 'm hanging in there and doing my best to stay positive and focus to my Lord. But I am so very tired, physically and mentally.

'M going to borrow ayat-ayat from the movie The Sound Of Music, "..when i'm feeling down, I simply remember my favorites things...". Fav things at this moment, is things around home.

Pics above are the before and after photos of a corner at home. It took 7 cans of white spray paint and 10 manhours (hard labour heheheh) to do the transformations. Started spraying at 6 pm and finished at 4 am. I never expected it will be tiring but boy o boy, I'm not going to attempt such things again....(never say never tho' hmmmmmm).

So so so so so chantique (pinjam chantique si anies) kan the pemandangan of the pentaran. I wish ini gambar pentaran rumah i......nama dia Whimsical cottage lagi....Bisaaaiiiiiii kan. Berani ke I men cat my pintu rumah polka dot..hmmmmmm.....Pengsan my neighbour and the management co. kali kan.

Sangat senang mau bikin open house if ada pintu color ni. Easy identification...."ala rumah yg pintunya bintik-bintik"..hehehehee jadi myth and legend lah di bahagian putatan. Org akan pikir samada tuan rumahnya "creative" atau "sot' ja (to quote my boss famous perumpamaan "org gila ka banduan").

I will want to do this in one of the bedrooms door in my home tho...

Home is Where the Colors are...

Random pictures of fav things at home....Above pic is my hardly ever used teatowels (gagansing). Wht's the point of having gagansing if tak mau guna kan....sayang if kena kicap..wakkakakak. One of these days, I'll muster the courage to use them tho.

Pemilihan color kudutan dan cawan bergantung kepada mood pada hari tersebut.....Far back serving dish hadiah dari Shabbychicmom, coz hubby dia tak benarkan pembelian barang yg ada rupa org..(menyalahi agama). 'M so very lucky mendapatnya hehehehehe.

'M addicted to boxes.....all type of boxes. Entah apa mau di isi.

Eid Al-Fitr

Happy Eid Al-Fitr to all Muslim friends!!!! The celebration after the month long fasting month ended on the 1st October 2008. Went back to hometown for the long break. I so love the Malaysia's tradition of "open houses" regardless of race and religion. I embrace this tradition whole heartedly!!!!The weather in Keningau was quite mild compared to Kota Kinabalu (as reported in the paper). Went visiting few houses (4!!!) and by the 2nd house, was already full. The many succulent dishes and colorful cookies. Feast to the eyes. By 2 pm, my tummy couldn't take anymore raya cookies...Headed home for long cool shower.

Love the color coordinated green of these reluctant "model" wakakakakakakka.....

Love this road...en-route to Kampung Kota Ayangan. Such picturesque journey...small village road amidst Paddy (rice) field...Its paddy planting season in Keningau.

Manage to "force" these lovely teenagers to pose for me....

These two boys do not need any "forcing" to pose. They didn't care for the food, busy running around and making noises. Love love this pic....a picture of cute naughtiness...wakakakakak
